I am a dedicated advocate for human rights, peace, and community development with extensive international legal experience, including human rights law and a proven track record in child and adult protection, safeguarding, and investigations. Currently, I serve as the Peace and Disarmament Assistant Coordinator at the International Peace Bureau in Berlin, where I contribute to various projects on peace-related topics, including climate issues, feminist foreign policy, and specific conflicts. My career has been marked by significant roles with organizations such as UNICEF, SOS Children’s Villages, and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). Notably, I led post-earthquake response strategies in Syria, impacting over 500,000 children and implementing child safeguarding policies that set new standards globally. I am fluent in Arabic and English, with a basic proficiency in German. My educational background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Law from Tishreen University and certification as a lawyer by the Syrian Bar Association. Outside of my professional work, I am passionate about bridging cultural divides, promoting collaboration, and empowering communities. I enjoy writing and have published several articles on human trafficking, modern slavery, and child rights.
