I want to dedicate the energy and effort to spare you this hustle, our future leaders, and fast track your transitions in life’s stages. I am a thought provoker, advocate, and enabler of youth capacities and capabilities. How my journey began. I have experienced self-transformation firsthand both on a personal level and my +25 years of management while helping small, medium, and large clients in the FMCG, Retail & Hospitality industries to startup, turn around and scale across multiple MENA markets. My career started in 1995 in the beverage industry where I learned the ropes from the best-in-class in direct distribution, sales negotiations & merchandising roles with the Coca-Cola Company. Then as one of the first employees of Red Bull in the Middle East, I built my knowledge of starting businesses from scratch in sales & distribution, accounts management & activation roles for Red Bull ending as Country Manager UAE. My next career move led me to the highly regulated tobacco industry with British American Tobacco, where I moved up through several responsibilities, culminating in a multi-country general distributor management roles. I am passionate in building operations from concept to visualization where executable strategies are delivered with clear & structured performance. I proudly authored & self-published "The CREED WAY©" : Building Enabled Generations & Societies”, My book is dedicated to empowering people in general, and youth specifically. This is one of many enabling initiatives to educate, empower, and mentor young job market joiners, early career starters, or career shifters. I strongly believe that "Embracing change which adapts to the current and future environment is paramount to guaranteeing business success." The key to making this change a reality is to ensure people (starting with self) transition into the desired future state and adjust their behaviors, actions, and mindset. I would like to believe that I have added value to over 12 mentees since 2009. I am looking forward to learning with you. Let's get started!

My final session with Talal and I am super glad I met Talal and have him as my mentor. Thank you so much Talal, and here's what I want to highlight the key learning that I benefit from the sessions with you for the past couple months: 1. 5 why - literally taught me to think and get the questions answered before I can finalize my thinking and start working on the actions. 2. communication - I've been super anxious to reach out to stakeholders, but Talal has been showing me a way to counter the issue by engaging the stakeholders one by one, until both have mutual understanding. My active listening skills is getting way better and I have been proactively reach out to stakeholders and always shout out that our projects success is due to everyone's support. 3. Courage - I initiate a new initiative for my team, which to get us more efficient and productive (small things to be automate throughout MSD 365) and creating a dashboard for revenue forecasting for my managers and senior management views. Also, separate activity to connect with people in LinkedIn. I really can't thank you enough for all the advices I have received throughout our mentorship programme. I hope we can stay in touch. Thank you so much and all the best to you Talal :)

Talal has shared a link for me to read and here's my thought regarding the content written on "The Journey of the Five Whys' technique". It is notably well written and can be easily digest for anyone. It's really comprehensive overview and truthfully after reading this article, I've been asking myself why on every single things. It helps me to understand and get to the underlying reason for an issue. It teaches us not to settle for superficial answers! Thanks Talal for recommending me for a good read! Simple article and yet it make a change in the way I'm thinking and sort it out slowly :) I really am grateful for having a good mentor and as he said, I'm learning from his experiences, and he's also learning from me. I'm not sure how much I've been contributing but I really do want to be resourceful like Talal.

Following our first session, I've been reflecting on questions about my career goals. I've been in PMO field for 7 years, and initially I hadn't considered a switch. However, Talal's experience in Change Management were particularly interesting. It aligns with my desire to improve project transition from delivery to operations. One of the thing that opened up my mind was when Talal's mentioned that in Change Management, the role is ensuring people understand and help them to adapt on the new things.

I'm incredibly impressed with Talal's guidance as my mentor in the Mentoring Club. This is our first session, he actively helped me identify my career goals and the specific areas I want to focus on. Before joining the club, my objectives were broad. I wanted to expand my network and gain career advancement advice. Talal's insightful approach helped me regine these goals and develop a more focused direction.

I have been having mentoring sessions with Talal since February, and I can truly say that those sessions have been knowledgeable and beneficial for me. Since the first session, I have felt comfortable talking to Talal about all the important topics, asking questions, and seeking advice. He always listens to what I say, suggests an approach, and shares his experience in similar situations. After a couple of sessions, Talal suggested an approach we could take to support my development. Although this approach is something new for me and involves stepping out of my comfort zone, which could hold me back, I found it very useful and worth trying. With small steps, I plan to apply it for my personal and professional growth. I am looking forward to our future sessions. 🙂
