As Manager of Applied AI and Products, I identify real problems, assess trade-offs, and guide teams toward the best solutions within constraints. Over 8 years in data science, from BI to AI, my focus has remained the same—aligning people and technology to solve meaningful problems, not just building for the sake of it. AI is simply a means to an end, not the end itself. Don't look for ways to apply AI; look for problems where better data analysis can drive better decisions. Depending on the context, using AI may or may not be a good idea.
